Registration

Until when can I register?

Until 28th of august 2025

Do I need a medical certificate?

Presentation of a sports license (with mention of competitive cycling) or a medical certificate (less than one year old) of no contraindication to competitive cycling is mandatory.

What is the registration fee?

Registration fee: €65 + voluntary contribution to AFU’s endowment fund for innovation and research

Can children take part in the event?

No. The event is open to anyone over the age of 18.

Can you take part in paracycling?

Yes, but only on the short course

Can I register on site?
Can I register for the long course and then change my mind?

Yes, you can change your mind during the run at Chalet Reynard, depending on how tired you are. However, you can’t change your mind from the short course to the long course.

Can I participate in tandem? If so, do I have to pay for two entries?

Tandems are only allowed on the short course. Two entries are required.

The tour

Will there be refreshment points on both routes?

Yes, there are 5 refreshment points along the route, so you can refill your water bottle regularly and eat a sweet or savoury snack.

A coffee reception is available from 7am at the VTF vacation village “Les Florans”, and a meal tray is available for participants at the end of the hike.

I've come a long way. I don't have a bike. How do I get there?

Bike rental stores in Bédoin and Malaucène.

A word of advice: reserve your bike as soon as possible.

Is it a timed race?

No time limit on this ride. Just fun and conviviality!

What equipment is allowed?

Muscle road bike, electric-assist bike. Mountain bike (not recommended)

How long is the average hike?

Times shown are calculated for muscle bikes.
Short course: between 3h30 and 4h30
Long course: between 5h and 6h

Is there a time limit?

Only for the long course. Please arrive at Chalet Reynard before 2.30pm.

How can I best prepare myself?

D-Day

How does the departure go?

The ride starts at 10am. Participants will assemble in front of the podium at 9:30am.
Group start after official ribbon-cutting.

Where and when can you pick up your race numbers?

Each participant will receive his/her number the day before from 2 pm or the morning of the race from 7 am. A jersey, water bottle and windbreaker will be provided.
Each participant will be required to put a frame plate with a number on his/her bike.

Will there be a photographer?

Yes, each participant will be photographed on the course. A video will be shot and made available to all on Youtube and on this website in the media library section.

How to get here and where to park?

The easiest way is to come by car. Bédoin is about 15 km from Carpentras. Drive through Bedoin to the last traffic circle (known as the ventoux) to get to the Florans center (signposted).
Train: TGV Avignon then TER possible to Carpentras.
Parking available on the Les Florans site itself, then in public parking areas. Large parking lot at the entrance to Bedoin on the left.

Are there showers?

No showers available.

Is there a checkroom or locker system?

No checkroom, but a room will be available for dropping off bags. It will be locked during the hike.

Cancellation

What are the cancellation and refund conditions?

In the event of cancellation by the organizer, postponement to a later date determined in consultation with the AFU.
Refunds possible on presentation of proof until 8/15

If I hurt myself, what can I do?

Medical assistance is provided by doctors (including an emergency doctor), first-aiders and an ambulance.
The organizer has taken out “civil liability” and “personal accident” insurance for each participant.
